The Hypermind BoardGamers Geeklists - A labor of love...

I was looking back over my previous entries, and I don't think that I've ever really taken the time to explain all about the Geeklist Blogs ("Glogs") that I maintain for my weekly BoardGame group, the Hypermind BoardGamers. While I have this blog (GamerChris.com), I still tend to do most of the weekly session reports on a series of Geeklists over at BGG. Anyway, I thought I would call a little attention to them, just in case any of you want to keep up with the habits of our group.
When we first began the weekly game night back in January, I wanted to have a place to share with the rest of the community what was going on in our sleepy little town of Burlington, NC. Being relatively new to boardgamegeek.com and having never really done any blogging before, I chose to use the Geeklist function there to chronicle our exploits. It had nice visability, gave me the opportunity to add pictures, and was easy to use. Here's the first incarnation of the Glog - Hyperminds! BoardGame Night in Burlington, NC.
I added to it each week, eventually finding that it grew so large that it was hard to navigate. Therefore, in April I began to create a new Geeklist every month. In those first few months, I would link backwards and forwards between all of the different lists, just to make sure that people could find the previous entries (if they wanted to). Eventually, I developed the Hypermind BoardGamers Meta-List, which has become sort of like the index for the whole project.
Now, when I create a new list every month, I also add an entry into the Meta-List, just so people can keep that main list bookmarked and feel confident that they will be able to continue to follow all that we do. I also list the Game of the Month! for each entry, and list the games we played as well as the highlights from the month. For easy reference, I also have all the Glogs linked on the navigation bar to the left of this page.
So, like I said in my title, this has really become a labor of love for me to keep these lists up-to-date and attractive. Our regular members will also add comments and we have discussions about what happened each week, as well as the rules or quality of the games themselves. Check it out, see what you think!
