Views of the Game Room! (My 200th Article!)
While I'm still working on a report from the Game Day on Saturday, let me go ahead and show off a few pictures of my fully armed and operational Game Room! It's pretty fitting that it fell like this, because this is also the 200th Article that I've posted here on GamerChris!
Before I got the bookcases up to the room, I moved all my games up there and sorted them by box size into the various corners. That looked something like this:
Late last week, I finally got the games onto the shelves. We had two bookcases and bought two more, so I had plenty of space to let my games spread out a little and still have some room to grow my collection. Most all of my modern boardgames are in the cases, while my party games, abstracts, card games, and children's games are in the small closet between them...
I'm not a huge decorator or anything, but I did want to do a few little things to make the room special, so I blew up a few of the game photos I've taken and hung them on the walls, and filled a few glass vases with various dice as accent pieces (something I picked up from Cody of Game On! withCody and John).

Add in a few folding tables, and you've got a fully functional Game Room!
It's a really great space, and I hope that having it will give Gwen and me (and Samantha) the opportunity and resources we need to have people over on a more regular basis. We certainly had a fantastic time on Saturday, which I'll try to talk about soon!
Taken seconds before I dropped the camera and leaped at Samantha to keep her from eating the huge 4-sided die

A wonderful game room! Well done, Chris!

Chris,
It looks beautiful!
I was going to post earlier but Wake Co Schools blocks any website with the word 'games'. Go figure. :-/

Thanks, Hiew and Britt!
I'm really blessed to have it. It's so cool to have a little retreat within my own home where I can go and be surrounded by games. But all are welcome in my Game Room! It's a place of fun and fellowship!
