Santa Came for Thanksgiving!!!

My BGG Secret Santa came early this year!  On the day after Thanksgiving, a package was delivered to my humble abode, and since I am totally lacking in restraint when it comes to sealed packages that probably contain games, I tore into it like a monkey on a cupcake!  Inside, I found three boxes filles with gaming goodness!  Two were expansions for some of my favorite games: the Narrow Gauge/Erie Railroad Company expansion for Chicago Express and the Battles of the Third Age expansion for War of the Ring.  In addition, he sent me Kachina, a tile-laying game vaguely reminescent of Qwirkle, which is supposed to be the best game published so far by Bucephalus

Thank you, Secret Santa!!!

On a related note, I also completed my first-ever boardgame trade via BGG earlier in the week when I received Samurai in exchange for my copy of Kingsburg.  The trade went very well, and I hope that trading can be a larger component of my game collecting in the future!  If you're interested in trading with me, check out my "For Trade" and "Want in Trade" lists at BGG!

    Chris,
Trading on BGG is a fantastic way to get rid of games that you arent playing...and may never play (again).
I completed two trades last week where I got a shrinkwrapped copy of Toledo and Chicago Express, which also included the expansions.

    Thumbs up to trading!

I've become a Math Trade junkie on board game geek. It's a fantastic way to get rid of games you don't play and acquire new ones. It's also fun waiting to see the results and finding out what you got.

I really need to look into the trading thing more. I have some games up for trade but no hits yet.
I need to do Secret Santa too.
For rpg's I've had good success with rpg.net and Story Games.
