So, I'm having a baby on Friday...

Just in case you haven't picked up on it yet, or you've lost touch with the timeframe surrounding my wife's pregnancy... We're going to have another baby girl on Friday morning.  It's not a "due date" thing that may be somewhat up in the air; 'cause we've actually got a c-section scheduled at 8am.  I should therefore be holding my new little girl by mid-morning, just a day and a half from now.

Obviously, this will have an effect on my blog.  Heck, it already has.  Just last night, I was all fired up and ready to go to game night (my "last one" before the birth), only to have Gwen come home miserable and in pain due to a sorta-pregnancy-related inury to her side (she's sort of pulled an intercostal muscle or something's going on with the connective tissue in there).  So I stayed home with her like a dutiful husband and father should.

I did stay up late anyway (once she was asleep in the recliner) playing a solo game of Castle Ravenloft, and once I finish the game (since I played for over 2 hours and still wasn't done), I'll try to find time to write about it.  But who knows when that will be.

So all I ask from you, my wonderful and faithful readers, is to be patient with me.  Keep checking back with the site, even if my post count drops precipitously over the next few weeks.  I'll do my best to keep up some updates, but it will depend greatly upon actual free time and (more importantly) the attitude of mom, baby, and big sister.  And, of course, but it's going to be hard to write about games when I won't even have much time to play them.

Still, Friday is going to be one of the most important days of my life, and I hope that you'll see fit to celebrate along with me and maybe say a prayer for Gwen and the baby through the whole process.

See y'all again soon... I hope.

There's a worker placement joke to be made here, I'm certain - but I'll skip it to say how happy I am for you both and that I'll be keeping you guys in my thoughts Friday.

I've got you on my RSS feed, so whenever you get the chance to write it'll pop up automatically! My wife is 7 months pregnant so I know some of what's up.

Prayers for your family--while it's a joyful transition, change is stressful nonetheless. And blessings to you all!

You'll have to at least let us know the stats on the newest member of the family when she's born!

Other than that, my expectations from you are to be a good Daddy and not the best blogger for a little while.

Thanks everybody!  We've got an incredibly early morning tomorrow, but I really don't know how I'm going to sleep.  Definitely say a prayer for us at 8am, because that's when the c-section is scheduled to start.
